A couple of Pocket Scrapping Cards

A weekend or so back Natalia hosted some challenges on the NZPL facebook page for the ladies that weren't at the scrappy getaway down South.  I played along with 2 of then.  The first was a recipe challenge - Doodling, Washi and Stars so this is my interpretation....

I used a white cardstock BHPL card for my base, drew a squiggly line around with a sliver spica pen and added the strips of silver star washi (my fav washi EVER).  I stamped the rocket stamp from a Hero Arts set onto some scrap white cardstock and coloured with copic markers then I cut out and popped it up using foam mount.  I stamped the stars from the same stamp set and outlined them with my stardust gelly roll pen.

The next challenge was a mixed media card, and again my interpretation...

I coloured the white cardstock BHPL card with gelatos and blended with my finger then sprayed with water gently with minimister and dried with my heatgun .  I then stamped the bicycle and words from Hero arts with versamark and embossed in black.  I added the bits of lace at the top and bottom adhered with fabric glue and added the pearls at the top.

Thanks loads for dropping by,
Happy Scrapping :)

Cute & Quick Heart Card

I was feeling in the mood to create yesterday afternoon but had only a small window of time before it was off to swim lessons.  I had some white card and my cuttlebug on my desk and my mists in a basket beside me so I was inspired by those 3 things for this card.....

I ran the card through my cuttlebug with a sizzix embossing folder with the debossed side out.  I then sprayed with Mister Hueys in "First Kiss", I added a couple of strips of washitape and I then strung WRMK pink bakers twine down the side.  I found some scraps of cardstock and card and punched out hearts with an old Stampin Up heart punch and stuck them on the twine.  Finishing with a Chic Tags tag fastened with mini staples.  The whole thing took about 20 minutes which is super fast considering my cards usually have a copic coloured digistamp.

Thanks loads for dropping by :)
Happy scrapping.

Shine on with SGC

It is so cold here at the moment, well for me anyway but I am a bit of a sooky lala about the cold - LOVE the Summer hate the winter.

So our challenge is pretty much Shiny Stuff, anything shiny on a papercraft project puts you in to win.  and with 2 excellent sponsors for this challenge you really will want to give it a go.

I have used and image from Lacy Sunshine called Emily Showers of Love.....

I used papers and embellishments from my February Noel Mignon scrapbooking kit and coloured my image with copics.

The background with the hearts was made with a stencil and mister hueys spray, it worked out well as I was able to match the colours to my image to tie everything in.  I added stickles to both the image and the flowers.

Where have I been???

Well the answer to the above not here posting obviously ;) I have actually completed lots of PL spreads and a couple of pages BUT I have had the most disgusting chest infection again, I have been coughing like a 2 pack a day smoker and feeling like all I want to do is sleep.  I am VERY glad I gave up smoking 9 years ago, I think I would have been dead already if I hadn't.  I was such a disgustingly heavy smoker, seriously it is a wonder my non smoker hubby ever kissed me at all when we first got together GAH!

Anyway, onto the crafty business which is what you are actually here for.....

I will start with the project life spreads which are all for March......

A bit of a mish mash of embellishments from my stash but the cards are pretty much all from PL core kits Kiwi & Blush I think.  As you can see I love alpha stickers and there is a lot of different styles, companies, and collections on these pages.

And here are the layouts, the first was done with a photo taken back in 2011, 2 of of my brothers that live in Australia came home for a visit along with my cousin and second cousin (my cousins son) who also live in Aussie.  As you can imagine with 4 children travelling overseas is kind of off the agenda so that was the last time I saw my oldest and the youngest of my brothers.  I say the youngest of my brothers but still older that me by 11 years HA!  I am well and truly the baby as he is the next sibling up from me PLUS I am the only girl - special aye ;)  And YES I am pregnant in this photo, I do not have an enormous food baby in my tummy.

Next is a layout of hubster and I, I never do layouts about us and now I know why... he got so precious about this one having a photo he hated of himself - seriously if he didn't pull stupid faces everytime the camera points in his direction there would be a better selection to choose from.  I used a kit from Noel Mignon, which I have just resubbed to, the kits are excellent value, really packed product and the products are awesome.

And there you have, a collection of all the crafting I have been doing lately, well paper crafting anyway, I may share the tog bag, lamp resurrection and shirt for JoJo at some stage soon.  Thanks for dropping by :)
