Quick & Easy With Baby Steps and Artfull Crafts

Just thought I would share a couple of projects I made using the Simple Stories Baby Steps 6x6 paper pad availble from ARTFULL CRAFTS.  I am so into this cute little pad as it has adorable single sided papers in totally cute patterns that could be for boys or girls.  Plus pages of sweet elements like I have used on my thank you card.  I like single sided paper pads as I always have a panic attack covering up a gorgeous pattern on the reverse side when I do projects using double sided papers, but that is just me and my OCD kicking in.

Onto the projects...............

First up we have a really quick and easy Thank You card using papers and an element from the Baby steps pad which have been distressed with scissors to within an inch of their lives then inked with a creamish brown ink in a sponge, then I painted the edges of the card and distressed the letters for the sentiment using Distress Crackle Paint in Picket Fences, I used some twine to fasten a button for some added interest and then stuck a punched butterfly in the corner of the element. To finish I gave it a couple of sprays with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Frost.  It honestly took about 10 minutes to make.  Super quick and easy.

I am entering my card in the following challenges....
Whimsy Stamps - Button It
Lady bug Crafts - Oh Baby
Charisma Cards - Anything Goes
Digi Doodle Shop - Anything goes

Next up we have Zippy's ( sorry William's ) plunket book, none of my children have boring run of the mill uncovered  record books, where is the fun in that?????  So out came the Baby Steps pad again, I cut up a few papers to use on this to give it kind of a quilted look.  I cut Will's name out on my cricut using the "songbird" cartridge.  The cute wooden safety pin is from KaiserCraft and I put some distress Crackle paint in Picket Fences on it and around the edges of the book.  I then did the little dashes to look like stitching with a brown ink pen and went round the letters for definition.  Another really quick project.
Thanks for looking and I hope I have inspired you to whip up some super easy and quick projects.

I am entering Will's Book in the following Challenges
Anything Goes Challenge - To The Letter
Bearly Mine Challenge - Anything But a Card

Guess What????? We have Chicken Pox!!!!!!!

I know, I can't believe it!!! School starts back on Tuesday and my kids will not be going back, plus I have the damn things!!!  Having avoided them all my life up till now, I have them popping out all over the place.  Which of course means my little 2 week old baby is going to get them too, poor Zippy.

SUCKFULL MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I made this pretty little card to cheer me up, yep it is another Saturated Canary image, I am so in love with these at the moment.

I used a paper from 3 Bugs in a Rug Savannah collection, I think it is called Enchanted? The ribbons are from my stash of fibre and collected bits and bobs bucket.  The image was coloured using prisma pencils and gamsol. The inspiration for the colours for this card came from gorgeous inspiration picture of a forest at FOR YOUR INSPIRATION CHALLENGES, it really is the most gorgeous picture.

I am also entering this card in the other following challenges.......

Little Miss Muffet - Girly Girl
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Buttons & Bows
KB Cute Monday - Anything Goes
Paper Playtime - Say it with Sentiments

Thanks for looking and hope you leave me a comment...........

I found these papers in my stash which work perfectly with Harvest colours and the gorgeous Bee Bear image  I have used the pre coloured one as I am a bit time strapped at present (wonder why??? William is quite time consuming)  i printed the sentiment in MS Word.

Thank You cards from William

A quick post from me tonight as I am busy busy with my new little bundle of joy and NEED SLEEP :)
I made these while I was in hospital after having William, appropriate that they are thankyou cards really........

This first card was made with My Minds Eye papers from the 6x6 pad Lost & Found - Portobello Road.  I inked the edges with old paper distress ink and an inking tool.  I then embellished with pearls and assorted flowers.  The image is a Popcorn the Bear one from Crafters Companion.

My next card was made almost entirely from a Party Animals paper pad from Kaiser Craft.  These awesome pads make it so easy to make awesome co-ordinating cards that come together easily and look fabulous!

Well thats a wrap from me as I have to get to bed and get some sleep!

Zippy by Name, Zippy by Nature (sort of)

I am home, yay, with my new little bundle  WILLIAM.  Isn't he totally cute, although I am totally biased of course.   2.5 weeks early too, which is totally amazing as I normally go 2.5 weeks the other way.

He was very small for me to at only 7lb 2 oz, alot different after my usual whoppers, my next smallest was 9lb 4oz and I thought he was tiny at the time :)

Hope you like the pics, they were taken on my phone so certainly not the best quality.

Spring Loving Card for ARTFULL CRAFTS

Wow, I can hardly come to grips that we are already welcoming in a new month.  Can you believe September slipped by so quickly?  Whoa, one minute we were just starting Spring and now we are one month into it already.  Although if you were here in Dannevirke you would be well aware of Spring I guess because we get shocking Spring Equinox winds and they have just started, beautiful spring days with a decidedly nippy biting wind.

Onto the card which is the real reason you are here, not to read my ramblings on the season.  I have used Basic Grey Sweet Threads papers, assorted flowers, some gorgeous pearl swirls, nestabilitie circlesscalloped circles, a label from my bits and bobs box and a digital image from Pollycraft .  I misted some white flowers with lime twist glimmermist  to make them match the papers and I also misted the tag with lime twist and vintage pink glimmermists.  The image is coloured with copics and prisma pencils.

Well that about wraps it up till next time, have a really fabulous weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am entering this card into the following challenges.........

Crafts 4 Eternity - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Anything Goes
Inky Impressions - Punches or Dies
ScrapliciousUSA - Anything Goes
